Is anybody going to make a differential cover for our S197's that will clear the Panhard bar? They're available for just about every other Mustang on the road.

 

i bought a lpw last week & installed it today. i can take a picture tommorow.

 

in the NEW 2007 Ford Performance catalog........
They have 2 types
1 that needs a panhard relocation bracket....
and a *NEW* 1 that is specific to the S197 GT Mustang.
With that said..I bought one through Strange and ordered a relocation bracket....I am very pleased with the results

 

I plan on getting the new one from ford racing when I decide to change my gears

 

I have one of the FRPPs on my Ford 8.8" and quite frankly, it just isn't worth the hassle and cost unless you really need to use the load-bearing studs.

Though I don't see it on their website. I got one from them on a group buy at $142 shipped, call them up and ask them and they may give you the group buy price.

The picture above also has the CHE axle brace on it, which I don't think I'll need for regular street use.

Here's a side shot. It's close, but I haven't heard of anybody rubbing the Panhard, even with lowered cars. I haven't installed mine yet, probably do that this weekend.

A couple of good options there. Thanks for the info. I was just looking at the FRPP online catalog yesterday and didn't see the S197 cover. I'll take another look. Besides looking nicer, it does add strength to your differential assembly. I had one on my '96. It was one of those that had the SVO letters embossed on it.
