I have 4.10's in the rear and I'm getting a Saleen s/c installed with an 8 lb pulley soon. I wouldn't mind getting a wheel/tire combo that has an overall diameter bigger than stock. I want 275-285 in the rear and 235-255 in the front. Does anyone know a good wheel/tire size combo for this? I'd rather not get them so big that it effectively changes my gear ratio to feel like 3.73's or less with stock tires. Thanks!

I'm in the same boat. The only 275's that will fit the 17x8 rims that I can find are Nitto 450 http://www.nittotire.com

I can't find a 285 to fit a 9 inch wheel

When I bought my first set of Nitto 450 275s, the tire store inadvertantly mounted them on my stock 8" wheels. They not only looked stupid on there, they looked unsafe. :nono:

Well,

I am getting very interested in a set of Boyd Coddington wheels ( Junk yard Dog or the Smoothie II ) So far these and the Foose thrusters are the only wheels that I like $1K+ better than the stock wheels...

Here are the sizes that I will go with if I pick these wheels:

18x9" up Front with 255/45R18 Tires

18"x01" in the Rear with 285/40R18 Tires

I think this will make a great looking set and get excellent traction for the S/C...

I am leaning tword the new BFGoodRich GForce KDW tires...

However, if common sense wins the wheel/tire debate, I'll simply go with 255/50R17 all around on the stock wheels. It is just hard to spend the $$ when the stock machined wheels look so good...

You will be happy with the KDW I have 285/40/18 in the back and 255/45/18 in front. That keeps a 27inch tall tire all the way around.

Can't comment on the looks as I haven't seen. I'll take your word for it. Though I saw a V6er's photos with 265/60/16's on the stock 7 inch rims, which looked kind of cool imo.

Nitto recommends 7.5 - 9.5 in. wheels good to 149mph, so I'm sure they're ok. And if not you can sue their collective buttocks off!

cool looking 255/50/17's are hard to come by, too.

I'm running 19s and 285s x 35 in the rear. The size is just a fudge under the factory 27 inch. You can play around with differnt sizes, back spacing, rim widths etc at www.bigcustomwheels.com.

I would like to oversize a bit, but the tires I'm going with don't come any bigger. I think it would help fill the wheelwell better and give the car a more aggressive look. On the downside if you don't have any hp upgrades it might make your car feel a bit slower off the line.
