One that grabs gears... If it slips it's a bad clutch :-)

I wont EVER buy another clutch from autozone, or really any parts at all for that matter.
there is a reason why everything has a lifetime guarantee, because once it fails so quickly the first time the only reason you would go back is because the parts are free.
I bought an autozone "LIFETIME GUARANTEE" clutch for my 96 S10 at around 170k. at 183k it started making a horrible squealing noise. less than 1k mile later the slave burst. so I drove it to my moms house (2 hours away with no clutch) because I lived in an apt. I knew the slave had failed so I bought an AZ slave and TOb before I left. I yank the trans AGAIN only 14k after the last time. come to find out the squealing noise was the TOB seizing. a year later the slave was losing pressure/leaking internally.
now with a whopping 35k on the A/Z clutch is on its last legs and wont back my 900lb pop up camper up my driveway without smelling burnt.
the wasted clutch could potentially be from the bad slaves and TOb, but my OEM clyucth went A LOT longer with a WHOLE LOT MORE abuse.

Well ****... I want a good clutch but I really don't want to spend a lot of $$$. Idk, I guess since the labor is free I'll just use the AZ one for now and upgrade once I break it

If you have over 400 RWHP and drag, a McLeod RXT, but they are costly.

Otherwise...stock or Spec I have heard are good.

Just put the Exedy Mach 400 & steel flywheel and I'm only 50 miles into the break in but it feels good. I have to have to be more mindful with the throttle since the flywheel is lighter and it grabs really quick.

Driving it out of the mechanic's lot I stalled it twice and got some funny looks from the folks over in the hooters parking lot who were there for classic car night

Clutch break-in is brutal with the 4.10 gears... I want to mash that throttle so bad but I'm keeping it at or under 3k and no WOT.
