What is the purpose of Steeda's G-Trac Brace?

What is the purpose of Steeda's G-Trac Brace? Is it something I should have for a mainly street driven car?

That kit is intended to add strength between the LCA's or as they say it adds a "positive link". It's a great thing to have for a street car, but on the track is where you would feel the difference.

Would that potentially help with the 'wheel hop' issue?

The G-trac is for the front suspension. So no it won't help with wheel hop.

Will not help with wheel hop, as stated above. If anything, it would be comparable to a front sway bar. Since the problem with wheel hop is transfer in the rear suspension, a good set of UCA's and full length subframe connectors will cure the wheel hop woes.

S197's only have 1 UCA due to the 3 link suspension.
Also subframe connectors are not required with our cars.
Some people running 9's may see a slight difference but it's a rare mod on these cars.

Does anyone have a picture of one installed? Are there supposed to be bushings in the kit? I have one for install in the spring and I'm having trouble getting my head around the install. The kit comes with new nuts, bolts and washers. There seems to be quite a bit of play when the bolts are inserted in the tubes at the end of the brace. Seem like there will be noise after the install... Or maybe I just worry too much.

Yea, just used to saying set of UCA's.

For the subframe connectors, we've had GREAT luck with them on a few cars we've dealt with over the summer/fall with low 11 second time slips?

That was with the full length chromoly.

Check out Granatelli's site. Its called an A-arm Brace there.
Click on 'install' and you'll get pictures and an instuction guide. Easy install, just unbolt 2 bolts (one on each A-arm) and bolt the new brace in.
