actually - the engineer in me would argue that nothing mentioned above (well maybe timing and friction) destorys MOTORS... but they all destroy ENGINES....

True, a motor is a rotor and a stator.

And they would also argue that people really shouldn't be worrying about gas prices they should be worrying about gasoline prices.

The knock on hot days is not due to 3v it is due to the higher comprasion ratio used with 87 octane. In addition powdered metal is excellent if used correctly Ford just doesn't inten it to be used in FI
