Vortech / Brenspeed combo complete!
OK, finally got the car back...... it's awesome! Brenspeed installed and tuned a non-cooled Vortech kit, containing a polished V2 blower and needed accessories. The car drives like stock until you floor it...... then it really starts to move and once you hit 3500rpm it just screams!
Final dyno numbers are 439/383 with air/fuel never going above 11.8 and timing in the mid-teens. I can not believe the throttle response that Brent's tune gives with this kit- you had better hold on tight and more importantly, you had better shift gears quick (I have 4.10's) or else you'll be in the red in about a nano-second!!

I installed the shaker last year....... so instead of removing it and buying a new hood, this is what I decided to do. Yes, at this point it is non-functional but it never really added any performance anyway.
However, CDC has a custom extension from the shaker to the Vortech filter that was shown in a recent magazine..... I may contact them and see if they can make me one too.
The blower is rated for 8lbs of boost, but I had my gauge pegged at almost 10lbs on a third gear sprint earlier today; I would say 8 will be pretty normal.

Congratulation's Tom!......Looks like Brent did a excellent job on the install. What a beautiful day for your Vortec honeymoon!......I can see your wife is going to have to literally drag you out of that Stang!.. Don't forget, lock the garage when your alone with the car! you wouldn't want your kids to walk in on you!......

I went back to the o/r H because the catted X was too quiet..... I added 18" resonators inline on the overaxle pipes along with the Borlas- that totally eliminated the trumpeting and drone and now I am VERY happy with how it sounds- loud, low, mean, aggressive, and no funny sounds! That's just me though, I'm pretty **** about how my car sounds and its so objective that some people love it, and others don't..... but I'm happy!
(of course I'm talkin' about money..... this is a family friendly site afterall)
