Valve Covers??
Hey guys, i got a question. I am looking into buying a used set of FRPP valve covers obviously for an 05+ and was wondering if i was able to re-use the gaskets and bolts that are on my stock valve covers?? Any advice would be greatly appriciated.

Yes you can. There cars have reusable gaskets in many areas of the engine. Not like the old days of cork or paper gaskets that got hard and brittle in about 5,000 miles. Just be careful transfering them.

So, im assuming that the bolts or studs are not a one time use either right??

cam covers
you can reuse the gaskets and bolts. just tighten bolts to torque specks. go to taco bills how to list he has a great write up on doing this. I personally changed my covers twice already and not had a problem using the old rubber gaskets

On a side note. Did anyone have to change out their gaskets when they went to the delete plates? These gaskets seem to hold very well and are very pliable but I was wondering?

No, you don't have to change out the intake manifold gaskets either. I just did both the delete plates (actually put the stock plates back in) and the valve covers at the same time a few weeks ago. All gaskets are re-usable there.
