Ok well Ive been putting it off long enough but I need to get one now, which should I get and why? I am leaning towards the SCT just because here in socal that seems to be the only one that anyone knows how to tune, but your oppinions on them would be greatly appreciated. And if anyone can tell me how easy it is to reprogram for gears on each that would be great since that would be the next mod I am getting. Thank you again.

It's been said many, many times... get it from Doug @ Bamachips, and you won't be disappointed!! And if you add mods (like new gears, for example), he can e-mail you a revised tune. Just upload it to your handheld, and reflash the car.

Out of curiousity, i'd like to get people's opinion why the SCT is better than the predator, especially from the people who have used both.

I almost bought a pred. a few weeks ago but now I am leaning to the SCT2

thanks I was more or less looking for which tuner (SCT or Diablo) was better and why, not someone to tune it, but thank you all for your input. from what I gather the SCT is the way to go, is this correct, and why do you think so.

Its seems the people that give you the tune for the Sct are more popular, and the people are happier with these tuners. I just switched to Sct and waiting for mine to arrive from Doug at Bamachips. If you have an auto its seems he is the most popular, Brenspeed for the 5 speed.

This is the same decession problem I'm having right now. Since I don't own either I can only judge by pictures and site comments. When you go to either sct or diablo's sites the Diablo looks like the clear winner in modern design to me. Probably mosts parts made in-house, larger 6 line display screen, 6 function buttons and see-through case that looks to me like the cases are fastened together with 4 screws. I believe you can also use the predator to diagnose/clear codes on most obdII fords as opposed to sct's owner locked vehicle. I may be wrong on this with the newer version of the sct2.

I've heard good comments about bamachips and brenspeed for sct but would like to here any recommend ations for diablo tuner dealers.

I personally went with Brenspeed, and couldn't be happier.

ok to ask the question an other way

what device has more features

and more control over the things that you can change , ie timing, fuel maps, cam timing, rev limiters ect.

i have a tuner that just needs into the computer

induction motorsports here in omaha

jeff does 1400 hp supras(his daily driver puts 800+ to the rear wheels)

shane does 1750 hp mustangs( granted an sn95 with a big small block and a turbo that could suck up a basketball , and won at the fast ford race in st louis last year)

i just need to know what one gives you the most control?

thanks in advance

jay
