Is this too much for a custom dyno tune?
I emailed Sutton High performance to see what a custom tune with the xcal 2 would run me and they said it would be $299 for the first 2 hours tuning on the dyno and it shouldn't take more then 2 hours. Does this sound about right or too steep? I want to get it done here as it's only 15 miles from me and they have a great rep.

i just paid $550, 3 baseline dyno pulls, intake install, SCT Tune (not 2) and over the course of about 3 1/2 hours---so that sounds fairly reasonable---i needed to get a baseline, as well, wanted to gauge gains in performance----
Thanks. I guess $299 isn't too bad then. I definitely want to get the tune on a XTR file, something I forgot to ask if they do.
JeffreyDJ, the xcal2 costs $369 extra so it will cost $668 total to get my car tuned. ouch!

Also, this is Sutton ... they do have a name and the ability to charge for it too
remember, cheap tuner may = a cheap tune.
Oh, sound about right to me too .

Yeah they were, after all, the first to break into the 9's with the 05 I think. I'm willing to pay a bit more to get tuned by the best.
