I got my front windows tinted and when I roll them down I get long fine scratches all the way down them. It literally cuts the tint, more so on the passanger side but also on the driver side. Has anyone else had this problem with their tinted windows? That sure is a small amount of clearence because the tint is so thin

It's because there is no felt on the seal. I purchased some from another member here on TMS. Do a search for window felt or mole skin.

It's not scratching the window, there it isn't a problem. Therefore, no need to fix the problem on 06... Sigh.

I just had the windows tinted. They told me not to lower the windows for 4 days. 4 days without lowering the top is killing me! And of course, the days have been beautiful...

I think it has to do with the adhesive needing time to dry. Anyway, the dealership took it to a reputable shop and had it done. Lifetime warranty. I'll let you know if I start seeing scratches. It's very important to keep those window seals clean.

4 days? Alta Mere did my WRX and they said not to lower the windows for a week. I left em up for 2 weeks, just to be sure.

This has nothing to do with letting it dry. I have had my tint on for 2 months and I see New scratches vertically the length of the window all the time. jewel05gt hit the nail on the head the first time, no felt.
