Thinking of going with some cams...

Well especially with the pulled timing for my nitrous tune, I want my n/a to still pack a nice little punch. I'm thinking about going with some cams. The car is not my daily driver, so I don't mind a nice little lop. What do you guys think of a mild to agressive Comp cam? What kind of gains can I see?

Also, will this affect my nitrous (I.E. more ideal with spray, etc.).

Thanks!

I have looked at your post a couple of times today and have not posted because I will probably get flamed for what I believe. But what the hell it wouldn't be the first time. While I truely love the sound the the Ford racing cams and others like them I know they can't make really good power because of their big valve timing overlap. And I am still waiting (as others are) for dyno proof they make the power they claim. So with that said. I had the Comp NSR cams installed at Brenspeed in Feb and got a solid 25-30 hp increase that I can say came from the cams alone. But while I have a slightly rougher and a little bit lopey idle now it is nothing like the Ford cams. So I have said it before and will again. Do you want sound...or power? They really can't come in the same package.

Power for sure. I've never been a guy that goes for looks or sound over performance. I'll sum it up that I just want the best PERFORMING cam out there, while still keeping my Mustang streetable.

I agree with everything that Scott said.

However, I will add that I'll bet we'll find out soon enough if the "rough" idle cams can make power or not..... but it might be in a forced induction application.
