Super (or Turbo) charger owners
Super (or Turbo) charger owners
Hi,
Just curious about forced induction on the Mustang - I've been waiting for a GT500 - hahahahahahahaha - and now that it appears that won't happen, I'm turning my attention to a 2007 Mustang GT. I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on different superchargers for the Mustang.
I currently have a ProCharged 2002 F150 but have no idea about what works best on the Mustang.
Thanks!

I guess what I'm really looking for is how everyone who has gone the FI route on an 05+ Mustang feels about it.
Is there a recognized safe hp limit on the 3v engine?
I'm very familiar with ProCharger and will vouch for them because it's been great on my truck but I think that when I get my Mustang I might like to try something different - Whipple, KB, ?. I even considered the STS turbo system but one thing the truck taught me is that the more "off the beaten" path you go the more difficult it is to get the car/truck properly setup and the fewer people there are to offer advice.
So... not trying to start a flame war, just looking for people's opinions.
Thanks.
Read this thread... some good stuff there (as well as a spirited debate): http://www.modularfords.com/forums/2...-sc-55388.html
Thanks Don, I appreciate the link.
Yeah, I've seen that argument before! I keep hoping the bottom will fall out of the GT500 market but I know that won't really happen so I'm putting the master plan together for a Mustang GT.
You're car looks pretty nice - especially the engine part

Most guys considering GT's are thinking 10's or 9's..
So basically, GT owners think 10's and 9's.. V6 owners think 12' or 11's... Deep... It depends on how deep you want to go..
However, I can understand how you could appreciate the sound of the GT when setup properly.. That 3V sounds mean with a good exhaust system..

Hmmmmm... I have the KB setup on my 06 GT and I love it but I am not considering 9s or even 10s. Mybe if I had a strip only car, but I don't. There are only a few of these cars turning 10 second et's (or faster) that I have seen. I am happy to get mid 11s, but not there yet.

If I was going to get a Turbo, I would jump at this offer:

But alas, my wife won't let me spend that much, so all I can do is dream
