Super (or Turbo) charger owners

Hi,
Just curious about forced induction on the Mustang - I've been waiting for a GT500 - hahahahahahahaha - and now that it appears that won't happen, I'm turning my attention to a 2007 Mustang GT. I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on different superchargers for the Mustang.

I currently have a ProCharged 2002 F150 but have no idea about what works best on the Mustang.

Thanks!

lol, yeah, I figured but I'm not trying to. When I put the blower on my truck in 2003 I learned in a hurry that people rarely agreed on the best combination!!!

I guess what I'm really looking for is how everyone who has gone the FI route on an 05+ Mustang feels about it.

Is there a recognized safe hp limit on the 3v engine?

I'm very familiar with ProCharger and will vouch for them because it's been great on my truck but I think that when I get my Mustang I might like to try something different - Whipple, KB, ?. I even considered the STS turbo system but one thing the truck taught me is that the more "off the beaten" path you go the more difficult it is to get the car/truck properly setup and the fewer people there are to offer advice.

So... not trying to start a flame war, just looking for people's opinions.

Thanks.

Oh, is it even possible to get an '05+ Mustang in the 11's?

...and keep it streetable?

...and using the stock rotating assemblies?

If anyone has, I'd really appreciate some hints

Read this thread... some good stuff there (as well as a spirited debate): http://www.modularfords.com/forums/2...-sc-55388.html

Thanks Don, I appreciate the link.

Yeah, I've seen that argument before! I keep hoping the bottom will fall out of the GT500 market but I know that won't really happen so I'm putting the master plan together for a Mustang GT.

You're car looks pretty nice - especially the engine part

If all you want to run are 11's, then dont close your mind to just a GT.. The 2005+ V6's can run 11's with either a Turbo or a Vortech supercharger no problem.. On a stock rotating assembly..

Most guys considering GT's are thinking 10's or 9's..

So basically, GT owners think 10's and 9's.. V6 owners think 12' or 11's... Deep... It depends on how deep you want to go..

However, I can understand how you could appreciate the sound of the GT when setup properly.. That 3V sounds mean with a good exhaust system..

I guess if they are considering GTs then they don't own one yet.

Hmmmmm... I have the KB setup on my 06 GT and I love it but I am not considering 9s or even 10s. Mybe if I had a strip only car, but I don't. There are only a few of these cars turning 10 second et's (or faster) that I have seen. I am happy to get mid 11s, but not there yet.

I have a GT with a Saleen blower tuned by JDM and could not be happier. The only downside is the gas mileage because I can't keep my right foot off the floor .

I want to know that as well. I have seen some v-6 times on here with power adders that can't beat my 13.02 with just basic bolt-ons.

I'll be the first to admit that there are a couple V6's out there that are awesome. But, they aren't being built by average enthusiasts like me and you. They are usually being built as project cars by professional speed shops (like Powerhouse and VMP).

If I was going to get a Turbo, I would jump at this offer:

But alas, my wife won't let me spend that much, so all I can do is dream
