Steeda Ultralite's What's needed?
Thinking about putting in steeda's Ultalite springs just in the rear for now. Can I get anyway with just purchasing the ultralite's or am I going to need panhard bar and other items? Just lowering the rear for now, to level it out. Thanks for the input...
I just had mine installed today. I did both the front and the rears. My initial impressions:
- The car feels much firmer and more solid.
- Suspension feels a little more "springy" - I can see why harder springs would need better shocks/struts.
- The car corners LOADS better, feels much more confident, less body roll and nose dive.
- It's really a much bigger improvement then I thought it would be, I am pleasantly surprised overall.
Got the springs from Brenspeed for 209 shipped. Installed by my local Mustang shop for $150. When put on the alignment machine, it was within spec with no adjustments required.
As for the pan hard bar, I'm not going ot bother. If you had 20 inch wheels it might be noticeable, but It's not something I am going to worry about (do you see adjustable pan-hard bars on the Shelby’s?).

I suggest you get her done and wait and see if you have a problem. No point in blowing cash for parts you may or may not need.

TacoBill is right, the only springs that I'm aware of that you can purchase the rears by themselves would be the Roush springs. I believe they're around $125 for the rears, and offer the same drop as the Steedas. However, if you purchased the Steedas and decided later that you wanted to lower the front, you'd already have them. Just something to think about. For what it's worth, I've got the F/R Steedas installed and love them. No panhard bar either, although I am considering it as a future mod just for peace of mind.
This website allows you to buy the rear Steeda springs for $145 Canadian dollars. http://2koolperformance.ca/specials/index.htm

Sorry, got back so late. No, I do plan of purchasing the set F/R Ultralites just wasn't going to put the front's on, but if I decided to later then I'd have them. Can't beat the price of $209 shipped for the whole set. I was just mainly wondering about alignment and if panhard bar was needed, but seems like I should just mount the rears and see then.
cool cool, are you a member of www.southfloridastangs.net?
