this was a great mod for 25 bucks. makes the factory shifter alot more ridged. i like the factory throw, but was looking for something a little more stiff and that what this bushings do.

not a big difference noise. it is louder but you have to have the radio off to really tell. you deffinately feel the shifter click into gear now. more like a upgraded shifter. not as noisey as a tri-ax or b&m.

Where did you get them? Did you install them yourselves? If so was it easy?

Bought them from Steeda.

It took no time at all, and I did not remove the driveshaft, but I did remove the shifter.

Basically, there are two bolts and two nuts (from under the car) to remove from the shifter, and it comes off the car. Two bolts up front, and two nuts in the back. After you remove the nuts/bolts, let the shifter fall down. You can then reach the bushings.

I forgot the sizes, but I know I needed a wrench to reach the front bolt. A socket was too big.

you need a 10mm deep socket for the back two nuts, the front bolt is a 10mm wrench, real easy you dont have to remove the driveshaft. let the shifter fall down, pull the bushings out of the front swap in new ones along with the factory metal inserts, and for the back remove the factory bushing and start the new steeda one and tap it on the rest of the way with a hammer. mount the shifter.

Thanks for the info. one more question, did you do it on jackstands or on a lift? I dont have access to a lift. sounds like a very worthwhile mod.

It helps since it lets a lot of light in with the boot off.
