Steeda Charge Motion Delete Plugs

Anyone ever install these? Do they work? What have you heard about them? I am thinking about getting these for my car. I am getting ready to order a list or parts and these are on it and was wondering what people have heard about them. I may get a supercharger later on, but it will be a while. Will they be a good addition to my car? Here is a list of my mods thus far and what i am ordering.

Pypes long tube headers with off road X pipe.
C&L CAI
SCT tuner
Under drive pulley set
MAC axle backs
Twin 64mm t-body

In the spring i am going to get comp thumper cams

Delete plugs? Or plates? If plates, yes, there has been many threads about them, but I'm not sure how many were lost in the last server crash.

not plates. the 2009 and 2010 mustangs have them molded into the manifold. so steeda made these plugs for them.

they should work seeing as the plates work for us, it should work the same for the plugs.

I would get them. I loved my car when I done the plates. Never used the plugs of course but they should work just fine. Steeda always has high quality stuff.

It's actually a pretty big deal. It's not so much the actual plates as the jack shaft that is being eliminated so that there is no interruption of air flow through each port. You know how much you can get just by mild port work top-end, so deleting an obstruction is a gigantic help and will continue to provide more and more for future modifications that require more air flow, which equates directly to horsepower.

Not only that, but the tune file also becomes alot cleaner. There are adders and subtractors for many different tables in the tune that are solely based upon the plates being either opened or closed. These sections affect cam angle, timing, airflow values and more. Now you are just relying on one set of tables since the butterflies will essentially be open, and it makes for less math around the entire tune file.

The spark tables in the s197 at first glance seem awefully low, until you add them to another set of tables that are based upon whether the butterflies are in the open position or closed position. Now that these plates are deleted, the timing table can be restored to actual commanded value without any interrptions from the PCM and butterflies.

There are many advantages. Plenty of top end power, and any MINIMAL torque loss down low can be masked with the right calibration.... *hint hint*

I was thinking of doing these, too, til I realized you replace the entire manifold and the plugs when you get a supercharger, so even though the cost is minimal, the work involved ain't worth it if you're getting blown soon.

But, if going N/A all the way, or centri blower, definitely worth it. Still have never heard from anyone, SteedaGus included, how difficult the actual install is.

Correct, it calls for 2 hours, but it only takes about an hour if you've done them before. Easy, gaskets swap (reusable) and everything is quick connect-disconnect.

It shouldn't take no more than a hour. It took me about 30-45 mins the first time I done it. There is two bolts that are hard to see but are easy to get to. Other than that it is just start forward.

My car had the plates not the plugs so I don't know how long for the plugs. Either way they are worth the money and time.
