Ok. My first post.

I'd like to relay my Racer/Bamachip experience.
I bought my 05 GT about 2 months ago and almost immediately brought it to my local track. In pure stock form the best i could do was a 13.94 quarter mile although most runs would be in the 14.00 area. That was with a sticky track and pretty good air.

My first purchase for my new ride was a C&L racer CAI, Predator and a pretty basic Bamachip tune for an automatic.

The next time at the track, last weekend, on my first run the car felt slow. Didn't know what was wrong but it just didnt feel like a quick run. Track conditions were more or less the same.

There is no return road at our track so cars must wait in a section to the side for 10 or so passes and return down one side when directed by officials. So most times your left at the top of the track talking to the other racers wondering who won or what kind of time you pulled. Not till you return to the pits, sometimes 15min later, do you get your slip.

So this day once i got back to the pits friends asked how I did. I replied 'it felt slow, somethings wrong'. I was told to get my slip and have a look at it to see what went wrong. I got my slip and checked it 13.23!! I had actually improved by 0.71 seconds. amazing.

Get yourself the Racer/Predator/Bamachip combo it works!

That being said, I strongly recommend you contact Lee Bender over at C&L, whom will also confirm that 83MM, is the actual size of the C&L street MAF tube.
Just a thought could the 82mm be with the NO TUNE INSERT? Don't know just asking.

Go C&L Racer! The best looking IMO and puts out power with the rest of them. If I didn't get a JLT I would have gotten a C&L Racer.

The MAF size of the C&L street intake tube, is 83MM without the NO TUNE INSERT.

If you use the NO TUNE INSERT, it reduces the MAF size down to 80MM. Which is then the same size as the stock MAF housing.

Hi Tim
My 13.23 is at 103mph. I've since improved to 13.19 at 104mph. There's a bit of wheel spin in there and sometimes the car will actually get a little sideways shifting into second.

I think with sticky tires it'll easily make high 12's.

I reciently bought some 4:10's and a set of wheels for sticky tires, track is closed for the season so i won't know how this works till the spring.

Jeff
