I think it would look better if the wiring was done tastefully by the factory to start with. Since it wasn't . . . to me . . . . this treatment sorta accentuates their mess.

JMHO . .

I would see about bundling as much of the wiring together as possible. and then finding a way to make that look better. Of course, I don't have my car yet so all I have to go on is pictures of others, but I'm sure it wouldn't be an easy task, no matter what. The tape jobs they do just don't look very good though, I totally agree, and something has to be done.

Tough audience on this site!

(At least, that's my $9.84 worth, which is going out today, John!)
It's Friday. I tend to be grumpy on Friday's. Sorry if I was to blunt and to the point.
[/b][/quote]

Not really.

If somebody makes a 'look what I did' posting, they have to expect all types of comments.

Resistance is futile.
Rene - he's referring to Star Trek Gen II - the Borg's I believe. I was thinking that if you could somehow smooth out the lines a bit or zip time them so they are running parallel with other lines etc. - so they don't stick out as much. Was also thinking to leave a 1" - 2" gap at each end of the loom - so you can strecth them smooth a bit better???

Good luck!!

Well the fiberglass cover is only temperary as a prototype, as i am getting the molded plastic one in a week. It will have the Black POWERED BY FORD decals, and the "'05 GT" logo emblem or the chrome running pony on it. (undecided on that one right now)

As far as the chrome wire loom, it is not complete yet, and the caps I ordered are not in yet, so the finished product will tell. If it is too much, I will replace with all black new tubing to get rid of the ugly tape job ford did. Until then, I will keep it until I see everything all put on together, then decide.
I think you can add all you want to it , Caps, chrome accents, a supercharger.....the chrome wire looms will still look tacky...Oh and I just showed one of my friends(who was a judge at recent Carshow here) he said he wouldve taken points away for that, judges like it when you hide things like wires and draw their attention to other keypoints of the cars engine bay, ie nice intake covers, some polished headers, strut covers....not wires though JMO

Thanks to everyone for thier honest reviews, that is why I posted it here. They came off and I will be retubing in original black and with my own tape job , should look much cleaner and wires less noticable. Thanks again.

Good deal Rene'.....I think the black was better as well, and am glad that you were cool enough to get the answers you were looking for and not get offended by them....I think the other dress up changes you'll make will be enough to jazz up your engine compartment and be the look you were striving for initially....can't wait to see the finished product girl! Keep up the good work and originality.... :-)

Thanks. A big reason I come to this forum is for everyones polite and honest opinions. Mods on a muscle car are new to me, ( like many folks) , and so I look forward to the opinions of others. So thanks.

Once I get the chrome polished caps , fuse box cover, and add it with the mirrored radiator cover I allready have, I will post pics for even more opinions. (Hopefully you all will like that better) :P

Wow, that will look sharp when you are finished, I like the plenum cover as well, had an idea, I think Black accents on the Plenum cover would be the icing..What do you think..
