Sounds great! I'll set up my schedule and PM you. Were looking at 10-20 - 10-23, right?

I think that's about spot on. 170 MPH should be right about 5000 RPM..so 34 MPH per/1000 RPM would put 175 at around 5150. I have little doubt as to that being doable w/310+ rwhp. max2000jp, that finally do it for you?

Yah, that's the weekend of the race, that would be a good time to do our own speed trial's... I have a family member that is a police officer, I'm going to try to "borrow" a radar gun.

C'mon down to the land of open roads and see for yourself

OR

I know there's plenty of open vacant roads in southern Illinios, find out what your car will really do.
There are plenty of roads around where you can test out the top speed of your car around here. I just plain and simple won't go that fast on public roads. My car has a bone stock suspension and stock tires. There are too many variables on public roads and I value my life. Maybe next spring I will take my car to Road America and test it out. That's the only Road course I know of around that you can hit high speeds on the longest straight.

Your equation doesn't factor in coefficient of drag and frontal area, nor weight. That's why those calculations are theoretical. Again, he is claiming to run faster than a C5 Z06. That alone should raise red flags. His Mustang makes considerably less hp and the design isn't as aerodynamic.

Not many people are going to know what that is

I think I've found a way to get your top speed when you've gone beyond the speedo.

If you have IUP, select the screen that gives you AVG MPH. It can be re-set on the fly and is dead nuts on with the speedo.

My thinking is that the display is just using raw sensor data and is not constrained by any physical limits.

Sometime within the next few of days I'll see if that's true or not.

You don't need the speedo to tell you how fast you're going. Check your speed at 1000 rpms in 5 th gear. As long as you stay in 5th, your speed is directly proportional to your rpms! If its 32mph at 1000rpms, 5000 rpms would be 160 mph www.guaranteed.com. The question here is, does jays car have enough hp to push its self through 5200 rpms in 5th gear? You better believe it. Just from my exp.

Dang, you guys are a brave lot.....going 150+MPH and playing with the IUP Message Center......heck I'd be afraid that I'd get all sidetracked playing with the MyColor colors and then there's that Economy gauge to worry about and miles 'till empty and maybe I should adjust the Treble up a tad on the Shaker to drown out the tire noise and ohhh crud there's a deer up ahead...

My A.D.D. isn't quite that bad yet It's just a one button push!

Well I tried it today, took Rosie out on one of my favorite high speed places. It was actually an educational experience. It looks as though this won't be a romping place much longer. There's construction going on, it looks like some homes are finding there way out there. I knew it was a matter of time. This place has existed for the better part of 15 years now completely unmolested.

I did manage to get it to just over 140 and was ready to top it out, but a car appeared on the horizon so I had to shut her down. There's no way I'm going to pass a car going that fast and scare the crap out of some poor guy that didn't know I was coming.

Is there a governor on the Z06? Honestly I have no doubts the z06 will go faster than 170. If you really believe the low 12 high 11's Z06 will not go faster than 170 you're a uneducated bum.

I've had mine at about 112 mph (V6 mind you), it moved from 0-112 was very fast so I can only imagine what the GT is like. I would not worry about non mustang owners, most are jealous that we have great cars.
