so, if you were to buy an exhaust now?
which one would you pick?. I know there are tons of threads and opinions out there, but my question is more about quality and perception of quality when it comes to exhaust systems in general?. not necessarilly what you already have on your car (unless you think its great), but you all perceive as the best exhaust out there regardless of price?. Borla, Magnaflow, Corsa, Flowmaster or someone else?. and why?. quality of the parts used, fit , sound most pleasing all around or something else.. I'm looking into different options and want more info then just "oh its killer" go get one type comments.. thanks in advance

You can check out our full line of exhaust products here ... we have several brands including Steeda.
http://www.steeda.com/store/ford-mus...t-systems.html
You can do some searches on youtube regarding the sounds but I can tell you about Steeda from a company stand point:
We are ISO 9001:2008 Certified which provides the consumer with the highest quality parts that we can offer
We make our parts right here in the U.S.A. by the American Worker
We work with Ford Motor Company through the SEMA Tech Transfer Program.
Let me know if i can help assist with anything?
Best Regards,
Tim

I'm partial to Flowmaster AT's (Now called Force II I think) and an H pipe for the old school muscle sound without drone. I had the flowmaster 40's on for a while and the WOT sound was amazing but they droned and were too loud for the neighborhood.
How much are you planning to mod your exhaust? Mufflers? Midpipe? Longtubes?
There's a lot of threads if you do some searching but the things you'll have to decide on are to go with or without cats, H or X pipe, and Chambered or Straight through mufflers.

If you search around these forums, a couple of years ago I posted videos of Bassani, Corsa, Borla, and SLP on my '06 GT. Needless to say, I stayed with Borla the longest as I thought their tone and overall sound was the best. To be fair though this was with factory manifolds and an offroad Pypes H pipe.

I have jba shorty header with bassani x crossover and their race mufflers. Its loud, throtty and rumbles at low rpm but just right even with the stock cats. I get lots of compliments and quality is great just stay away from flowmaster had them on and one chambers broke inside the muffler and sounded like a fart can. Flowmaster warranty was 3 years and I had them for 3 years and 1 month when it broke. They didn't want to exchange them even if it was defect. The flowmaster axle back kit never had that true flowmaster sound lol. I'm glad they broke or else I would not have purchase the bassani race mufflers.

if i had it to do over?!
i'd ONLY do header & cams &, maybe an off-road pipe, wouldnt waste the money on axlebacks. i've sold more (axlebacks) on here than i care to remember.
i've tried them all, and finally came back to my prochamber & mac headers.
that and the combination of hotrod cams cant be beat.
and steeda mufflers i bought in this forum sell section.

I want in on this thread.
I'm also trying to decide again. I have GT w/AT and my head does not take drone. I had my perfect set-up on my 2008, I had QTP electric cutouts that were awesome, controled noise with no drone. I just don't rember which of the several exhaust I had owned was on it last, *******.
I'm thinking mild Flowmaster 60 series, but not sure yet.
Love hearing the coments. Sound clips don't address cabin drone.
