I need $15,000

Just did the math adding up my current mods to come list. I crapped my pants. Here are the things I KNOW the cost of:

Procharger kit $6000

Full suspension installed (no shocks or struts) $1800

New rims/tires $2000

Built trans $1700

Nice clutch and flywheel $1200

Here's the scary part:

Maybe have Kris Starnes build my motor/do my heads $????

Build the rearend $????

Gauges $????

I think I can do it by the time I'm in my mid 30s lol

Haha this is true for all of us pretty much. I could add all I want to do, but I rather not have a heart attack

muscledom i hear ya. i finally got my wheels/tires and suspension done, but my future mod list includes a big brake kit, new clutch/flywheel, and supercharger. after pricing out all of the parts that i want, i realized none of this will get done for a couple of years -- at least.

i love my car as it sits now, but my list of wants truly bums me out.

It literally NEVER ends. When I first got my car (it had flowmasters and a k&n CAI) I though it was perfect. Yea that didn't last long lol. Full bolt ons, cams, gears, blacked out, etc. still not satisfied lol.

I does add up. I had $15k in my last Stang (08) did 12.3 in 1/4 mile though.
Only $5k in this one (07) so far. But I have no intintion of going overboard again. Yea, I've said that before.

Didn't know you got a S/C muscle. Have you had your car up at the track yet? Any vids? Just like watching our mustangs fixed up nicely.

I hear you. I bought my 06 vert new in March of 2006. With the money I spent on mods over the years, I could have paid cash for another new vert! But how boring to have 2 bone stock Mustangs! Motor re-build in process now.

Modding really is the way to go. Most people don't get it. Their loss. My dad can not understand why I mod my car. Ill admit, I would have been way better off buying an older one cash but **** it, it's all water under the bridge now lol

The way I look at it is that it's a hobby and the money's either going to go into a new car or into beefing up one car. I'd rather stick with what I've got and make it my own than keep starting over. I'm holding off on any power adders or engine internals(except cams) until the engine is due for a rebuild. Power levels N/A are plenty for me on the street

when i had my last stand 98 gt paxton gt vert i did the same thing. dumped lots and lots of money into it. a lot of the mods are just not worth it in the long run to me.

I bought my new stang 05 gt vert a couple months back. And she is a looker. 68K miles and looks like 8K(someone babyied her). i want to sound good(did exhaust), shift good(put shifter), and put in a touchscreen gps radio. i may do a few subtle apperance mods her and there. but i got this car to enjoy. if i wanted something fast i would have got a shelby or new 5.0(do not like interior fitment)

That list is nice but a very wise man told me you need to take care of the 'whoah' part before the 'go' part!

Hey Muscledom,
You want to know what the worse part is about all the expense of modding your car. When you are ready to sell her ( Like I am in the process of doing) None of the modding cost add any real value and can actually cost you money when you sell it.

I need either $26,000 to pay off my car, then and only will my wife allow me to start modding extensively.
I'm thinking of getting a Black Vortech for the Boss. I'd like to get it to 650rwhp.
