Question SLP tips keep falling apart, similar problem?

Has anyone else had the problem with their SLP tips falling apart on the lip of the outlet?

Our 2006 has 39,000 mi and with less than a year this is the second time they have been replaced.

SLP has replaced them each time. First time I had to pay shipping for the new ones and also return the old ones plus my shipping cost. This the second time, they sent them for free and I had to return the old ones plus my shipping cost.

We'll see how long these will last. I give it till October 2007, 3 month.

Which exhaust is that? This concerns me a bit since I'm purchasing the SLP Loudmouth for the my '06 Mustang GT.

On a related note, I've got the SLP dual dual on my 99 Trans Am and the tips are rusted on the outside edges. Tried a scotchbrite pad on them to try and shine them up and they still look like crap.

Guess I've been very lucky, got my slp loud mouths 2+ years ago. They still look perfect. I inspect them each time I wash the car since I wipe them down. No hanger probs, no finish probs, no fitiment probs, nothing at all.

Maybe there quality assurance has gone to the crapper, should have improved since they have gone up over $100.00 since I bought mine.

I am sure they want them back so they can see if the problem can be fixed. Could you just put the old ones back in the box the new ones came in and return to sender? I know its to late for that now.

SLP PowerFlo tips

I got the SLP PowerFlo. The tips are their 3" diameter ones. They seemed surprised this was occuring each time. They thought it might be contributed to limited milage but when I told them we drive 12-15k mi a year with it that blew that theory.

I don't mind them having the old tips, because I want them to find a solution so they can provide a better product. I didn't mind this time where they at least sent them to me for free. I didn't mind paying for return service.

I think these tips come on several of their models, they just slip on.
