I would very much like to do this myself but i have never done this before. Can anyone give me any pointers or instructions on where to start and any pertinent information? Thank you

Start with a search.
Then buy some Rhino Ramps. It's like $36 for a set of ramps (you only need one set).
Then do it. It's super-easy. I've never really done work on a car before, and installed SLPs myself in like an hour, hour and a half.
Oh - make sure to have a good socket wrench set. I think you need a 10mm and 17 or 18mm attachments. Also, extensions and wrenches with elbows are helpful, as a couple of the bolts you have to initially loosen are in some awkward positions.
Most of all, have fun!

Thanks. I just got one of the factory mufflers off. i didnt even jack up the car or anything. im sure im gonig to have to to get the slps on though. man that was a tight fit lol, and some of the bolts are at really insane angles
