Is there anyone who knows how the Smart Junction Box works? The reason I'm asking is since I'm importing a Mustang 05 to sweden so I need to re-wire the turnindicators to be able to register the car here. I need to install two side-repeaters on each front fender and have the rear turn-indicators flashing with orange color.
The more I know the better the odds are that I won't burn something I've heard thst the SJB is bit expensive and needs programming.
Any input is appreciated.

 

I don't know anything about the SJB, but it seems like there would be a better way of getting your goal accomplished without messing with the electronics. If all you need is side flashers, I would imagine there is a kit out somewhere with wiring harnesses and such. As for the rears, I don't know how that would work.

 

The SJB is computer programmed through the bus type communication system so I would think that it would be a difficult task.
I would be looking more towards a conversion module for the rear.
As for the side marker I would run the wires from the front turn signals.

 

I'm more curious how much I can load the circuit for each light output. I gues the SJB is a programmable relaybox and from what I've heard the box can burn before the CB if its not fully shorted.
The plan is to use the front light circuit for side and un-hook the rear repeater and connect it to an external orange light. It should work but if anyone knows anything more about this system I would appreciate it.
From what I know Ford does not give out the schematic for the SJB.
