SCT X3 Tuner Question

SCT X3 Tuner Question
I have the X3 tuner with 3 custom tunes from Doug @ Bamachips. When I got the tunes they were for 3.31 gears and now I have changed to 3.73. To change the gear ratio you have to go to the custom tunes and it asks if you want to change options. You select yes, then it gives the options for fuel, shift firmness, rpm limit, gear ratio, etc. All the options like fuel, shifts, show 0 and gives the option to + or minus. Is this changing the custom settings or the factory settings? So if I go into the 93 performance tune and change gear ratio to 3.73 the change the shift firmness +4 then is this changing Dougs settings +4?

wish I could answer that for me..I have the X3 also and find that the adjustment settings are a nightmare. Be careful when you hit cancel, because it makes you save the settings (which is stupid IMO).
I found that most settings dont have any data listed, but some do. the problem if you notice is that once you change one setting, others are all over the place. then you dont know if your shift pressure should be -25%, 10% , etc...
Also noticed the 0-2000 spark showed -14 degrees and then 2000-4000 was reading 665 revs/mile.. WOT was reading 580 revs/mile.
If your more X3 savvy than I am, Id love to hear your ideas.
I'm on the phone with SCT now, so I'll ask about your gear ratio question.

So the only thing he could tell me for the gear ratio is to go by your tire size/gear ration and figure out the revs/mile and adjust from there..
They urged me to upgrade the firmware as well since the new rev came out on 10-23-07, however if you bought yours after 9/26 then you will have the most updated firmware. So I guess the bugs, are still here.
I also asked them to get a clue and have a new rev made that will allow you to look around at the settings w/o having to save anything. As I said before, currenly it makes you save.
