I bought a used SCT xcalibrator2 tuner from a friend. He restored the stock tune to his car before selling me the tuner. Anything that I need to know before installing a JLT CAI and using this tuner??

 

You'll need a JLT specific tune.

 

I know when I got my tuner for the tune to be good for my vehicle there was a computer calibration code that was required, so unless your car is identical I wouldn't use the tunes that your friend had in it. I would contact a tuner like Doug at Bamachips and see what kind of a price he will give you for just the tunes since you already have the xcal2. He is great to work with and I love my tune.

 

As the people above said, you will need a specific tune for YOUR car and the JLT. All car/mod combos aren't the same, so contact someone, (whether Doug at Bamachips or Lidio at Alternative Auto) and get a tune made for you.
