scratched window tint

Ok, I have window tint on my two front windows and have had many problems with the tint being scratched on the inside. I replaced the tint once already and now I have to do it again. The first time I replaced it I managed to temporarily fix the problem by sticking those fuzzy velcro strips on the rubber. Now the strips got so hot that the adhesive melted and ruined my tint again. I have sticky residue all over my window and also the strips are slowly peeling off because of the heat. I think that I will have to completely replace the rubber strip with a new one because the adhesive is all over it and wont come off easily. Is there any way to permanently fix this problem?

Def Moleskin... the same exact thing happened to me. Velcro started melting.... rip them out, clean them and put on Moleskin.... Texas heat hasn't melted them yet!

O it will! After several 105+ days here in Austin, I was convinced!

Here ya go.. http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=55905

Make sure it's done right by installing them yourself.

Once you receive the kit, you may recognize the enclosed directions.

I'm going to have to look into this as well. One of my friends rode in my car the other day and was nice enough to point out a long scratch on the tint on my passenger window . $30 preventative maintenance for the moleskin kit seems like it's worth it.

Nevermind the tint.. My drivers side door glass itself is getting scratched. It's got three needle thin groves about an inch long at the top of the glass that one can see. If you run your fingernail against the grove it will catch. I'll check the TSB (?) on this tonight. Then I'll buzz on down to Harr Ford tomorrow or first thing monday morning. Anyone else have this issue??

This is neither "performance" or "technical". Should probably be in the "appearence" section.
