Scraped the bottom of my beloved, did I break anything?

I went over a speed bump today and the car bottomed out and I heard a scrape sound.

Could I have damanged something?

I got a flashlight and looked underneath but I didn't see anything obiously damanged and it drove fine.

Just make sure the cats aren't damaged. Other than that you have nothing to worry about.

Check the fetzer valves. They always take it the worst when you bottom out

The '05+ cars no longer use the fetzer valves. With all due respect to 2MFF, of course, he was thinking of the previous generations.

For our cars, it's actually the muffler bearings that can get damaged if you bottom out.

Now c'mon people...let's help the guy out a little.

Seriously - you probably just hit the exhaust pipes. How fast were you going? If it was normal 5-10 you probably didnt do anything. The exhaust pipes are pretty tough, pretty thick steel. I know, I bang 'em on my driveway practically every day.

Talking

Well, if you damaged your muffler bearings you can go HERE

http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main...products_id=10

to get the best price on a new one.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Do you have an annoying rattling in your mufflers? Are they sagging a little? Don't quite sound right? That could be the symptoms of a worn muffler bearing. Allow me to introduce the KaleCoAuto muffler bearing! It's unique iron-graphite composite with pre-grease-packed assembly provides over 200,000 miles of smooth muffler operation! It is most likely they will outlast your mufflers. Also works well on heavy duty exhaust systems. One per muffler.

Now that is some funny stuff. The o-pipe exhaust is hilarious.
