Ok, I use my GT as my primary driver. As far as Performance mods, I've done:
C&L Cold Air Intake
Predator 91 octane tune
Magnaflow Axle-back exhaust.

I'm not interested in racing my car at all, but I do love more Power. I definately don't want to do anything that is liking to blow my car up or shorten the life considerably.

What would be some "Safe" performance mods for the tipical everyday driver?

Throttle Body Spacer - gives you more performance, preferably torque and increases your gas mileage, even for the everyday driver! Also gets rid of that throttle Lag!

I'm kinda in the same boat.

I would go maybe throttle body but if you do that then you don't get the current spacer that is out. Then Bassani X-pipe with high flow cats. Last would be 4.10's especially if you do mostly highway driving and/or have an automatic. The overdrive is so high on the autos that the gas mileage should not suffer too much. Just my $.02 now can I have $.01 in change?

If you are trying to squeese every horsepower you can out of this motor go for this. Otherwise its a waste of $$ You will never be able to tell the difference. You might want to install some lower control arms to reduce wheel hop.
