Robbing Peter to Pay Paul....
I don't know if any here are qualified to answer, but I thought I'd throw it out there.
Take a SCT tune and flash it to an 05 Mustang. Your factory tune is now in the xcal and the sct tune is in the car.
If you took a fresh predator and hooked it up to your car, would it know it wasn't the fact tune? How?
Here's my idea. Buy an xcal, flash it to my car, then any changes I make down the road I can make with my predator by choosing the "factory hp" option and making the changes there.
Why go through this you ask?
The tune I want to get for the xcal, the author will not email out.
Just an idea that's been rattling around in my head for a week or so.

I believe the Predator uses the factory installed tune and only changes the parameters necessary for your specific application. It would recognize any tune other than the factory tune as foreign and not work. That is why when you have a new Predator it must first make a copy of the factory installed tune and from that point on the tool is married to that specific vehicle.
