Rear window louvers

Who makes them?

I stopped by Saleen yesterday while I was at the Spectrum and they had a Saleen with some nice "302" graphics on it and quarter window panels and black louvers on the rear window.

I was always wondering how the new GT looked with them on and if it would be goofy and out of place.

I'm convinced after seeing them in person on a Mustang that it's an attractive piece.

I WANT ONE!!!!!

Anyone know who makes them? I didn't ask them as not to scare my gf that i was spending money on the car again.

I have seen them for about 50 bucks more for the aluminum louvers. Plastic louvers for the rear window seem kinda cheep to me. Don't know tho

I think i'll ask them the next time I go down to saleen... but the ones on MRT look like the ones at Saleen. I think they were plastic, or at least felt like it when i tapped on them.

The saleen ones are different than MRT. Saleens have more ribs and are closer to the glass. Ask at saleen if you're nearby. I want them too. THe CDC has those vertical ribs and that just doesn't look right.

Ordered mine from MRT and they are aircraft aluminum
I love them and get alot of compliments at car shows. I do recommend if you order them to buy some epoxy and put extra on the end clips on the top of the window corners. Other than that they are perfect.

Oh yeah they hold on pretty good at high speeds
no vibrations

Before you do this sit in the drivers seat and look in the mirror and check to see if you can see enough in the rear. I could not so I did not purchase.

Yeah, I've been thinking about a rear louver. So far I havent found a louver that isnt pointing (slanting) up into the air.

If anyone knows of a mfr. that has a rear louver thats built with the louvers not slanting up into the air I would be interested.
Aluminum, of coarse.

Thanks

For what it's worth. The original louvers on the 69 and 70 Mach 1's are made from aluminum. They are level with the world and do not hinder your view out of the rear of the car very much. Just drove mine this weekend and could see just fine.

This is the only pic I have from the inside of mine, but they do not hinder vision much @ all.
I'd only do the aluminum ones myself also, did not like the plastics ones either.
These are the Vista/MRT louvers

I have absolutely no issues seeing out of the back with my louvers.
also They are hinged so you can clean under them.

Someone correct me but I remember a name like Astra Hammon that made these things and they were a better fit than any others. They were going to come out with an aluminum one but I became tired of waiting and just put limo tint on the rear window and now I can't see dip through the window at night.
