i have been considering getting the 4.10s on my 06 std. recently, i have began to notice the whining noise coming from my rear end (that just sounds funny) that others have discussed. i'm wondering if i can get the dealer to replace the stock gears with ford 4.10s when they fix the whining noise, and not get charged for labor. if they have to brake down the rear end as "warranty work"to fix the whining, how hard would it be to change the gears, especially if i bought the 4.10s from the dealership? anyone have any idea?

I say it depends on the dealer... some might, some won't.
