Is there any worry that a cold air kit will not allow the engine to properly regulate air temperature, particularly when it starts getting cold outside, thus causing some engine problems? This is something I have heard, but I have no clue myself.
Unless you live in antartica there will be no problems. If the car is warm enough to start (>-30), colder air is always better, it will make the most power.

This is true. Last Saturday night I took a drive to Virginia and the weather was a little cool at that point and boy, was the stang acting really aggressive with that cold air. I got up the next day and it was blazing hot and the car wasn't that aggessive in all that heat.

Ran the K&N with the HC in for about 1,000 miles. Took it out yesterday and don't anticipate a problem. Will wait for a while before a tune and 93 octane. IMO, regardless of no CEL, at some point you need to dyno to maximize the car's specific performance

I have had the K&N for about a month now and no problems. I got it from brothers for $199.00. The H/O question is curious, because as I started to read the threads that some of the cars are coming with out them and when it was installed I did not see it with the left over air box, I assumed that it was in with the new kit, but I actually don't know?? I'll have to open her up. One thing is for sure, after I had that thing put on it took off like a rocket, the throttle response was there and I don't have a tune.
I just called a place called brothers performance and they have it listed for 269, he said the cheapest he could go was 239...maybe I have the wrong brothers or maybe you got it awhile ago and the price increased since. Could you clarify it a little for me...thanks

For all you guys who have the K&N with no tune and the h/c trap in .. what is the torque like now? I know the hp went up 15 or so but no dyno shows the torque gain (or loss).. Im ordering one very soon and Id like to know it doesnt make things worse on the low end ofthe rpms. Thanks
