Forgot to mention that those wheels looks great on your car.

Also, where did you buy your setup?

That Red GT with the Mac Headers sounds freakin great man.

I have the Pypes system too, and absolutely love it. When I first installed it I was running a Pypes O/R H, and I loved the way it sounded, but it was VERY loud... too loud for me as a daily driver. Right now im running the stock H, but I havnt gotten rid of the O/R H yet, I might put it back on, or go with a Prochamber. What do you guys think the Prochamber will do to it?
Heres a Vid with the MM and O/R H (the camera man was kinda close, so its a lil distorted):

Help me choose my next setup (Pypes or GTA's)

I have been running the Stingers for over a year now and I still can't get past the drone, especially when the windows need to be up. I have been looking at the GTA's and then I stumble across the Pypes mid mufflers. Now I am torn between the two.

Looks like the Pypes have an agressive old school muscle car sound (that I am looking for) Does have some drone (that I hate) Can be a real pain to install and align. But might even give you a 5-10 hp increase that the A/B's don't

The GTA's have zero drone, But I want to hear the motor (not just when I romp on it, Can you?) Great looking tips (compared to the stock ones anyway)
Probably go on in a half hour with out having to raise the entire car.And a little cheaper.

Would you guys agree with this?
Help me decide

Thanks
Bill

The drone with the pypes isn't even close to the frpp stingers. I went from the stingers to the gta's and now the pypes. Besides the need to bend one of the hangers and an occasional chirping sound, i love the pypes. I think i will get them welded in.

i agree with the above post even though i havent tried the pypes system just because i dont see how any other system out there could drone more than the stingers in fifth gear. but i actually liked the drone so it wasnt a problem for me.

anyways, i ordered my mid mufflers last night along with LT headers and an x pipe so i guess thats one more for pypes

Moosestang, Would you say the Pypes mid mufflers are the best all around sounding setup (stock headers and H pipe) that you have heard? Have you ever heard Corsa's in person? I know they are much more expensive But everyone says how great they are and how they don't drone at all.

Did you feel any more power with the Pypes? I could swear the Stingers may actually lose a little power

What do you mean by the chirping sound?

Thanks so much for sharing.........

+1 I can hardly detect any drone with my new system, most likely because I've had my stingers for some time and while the drone didn't necessarily bother me- I definitely got used to it...So the hint that the Pypes have, is pretty much nothing.

PS: I've driven roughly 200 miles and it seems like my new system, especially the new Pypes Mufflers, are finally breaking in and its starting to sound better and better!!! The slight pinch of trumpeting is almost totally gone.

I pulled up to a Silver 03-04 GT today at a Light. We both took off easy on Green, and right when I shifted into second and the RPMs dropped, the Silver GT took off and I followed suit walking him by 3 cars and counting by 6500 in 3rd. He pulled up next to me with an WTF face and yelled NICE EXHAUST!

Man, I don't get it, a lot of people are saying they can't hear the drone with these, I swear the thing was droning just idling!! Yeah, it could be the camera, but that last clip was Resonance City!! If anyone wondered what drone is, listen to moosetang's video, and then imagine that noise in your head all the time!

Maybe I can just hear it because I'm younger?

I've only heard the stingers and gtas because those are the two i've had. I prefer the pypes over both. The chirping is my drivers side hangers contacting the hanger brackets. The exhaust will move just enough to rub metal to metal and it is annoying. I'm either going to try and push that whole side more forward, not sure it will go together anymore, or i'm going to grind the stock brackets down where it rubs.

The drone is only there at 1800-2000rpms and it does not drone in 5th at that rpm like the stingers would.

Ummm, i don't get it, there's no drone you can hear in my video. I actually posted the wrong video. I meant to post this one. You can hear the drone for a split second in this one.

I think I hear what you were talking about. There is a slight hum in the video after the idle drops, but that is not audible inside the car. The camera is a Flip video camera, the one that's the size of a deck of cards. Probably not the best for sound clips, but it's cheap and does better than most digital cameras i've heard.

Suprised to hear you've got drone with yours between 1-2K.
I had a very slight amount of drone with mine, but only between 1950-2050. Was really minor, & I hate drone.
That was also with the stock H & cats.
Had no drone after my LT install, it was just TOO loud then.

i dont know if you can really call it drone...

its much louder than the stockers... so im getting used to it. i can feel the vibration in the floor just barely at low rpm...

this thing is a beast!
i cant wait to get the LT's on and then see how it sounds.

does the system change after its broken in???
