I started my steed today after it has been sitting since last week.A pretty good amount of light blue smoke came out the exhaust.I know blue means oil.I only have 1000 miles.I run her pretty hard and the rings must be seated by now.

Are you sure it was blue? I'm no expert on low milage engines, but burning oil after 1000 miles can't be good. It almost sounds like leaking valve guides.

like I told people a thousand times before..................Its normal on low mileage mod motors.Don't sweat it.My '03 mach 1 did it a few times and then stopped and both our '05's did it when very new.It will go away.

My Gt Vert must not be normal. Never of puff of smoke here even after sitting idle of a week. Might want to have the dealer look at it. I have 1500 miles on it and have not use a drop of oil.

I have 4600 miles and I got smoke when I started up this morning, switched to mobil 1 5w20 @ 4500.
It didnt seem to look blue though, and ive noticed it a few times. Im planning on telling the dealer so at least its documented if its something in the future. Perhaps just running too rich at startup?
