Looks like a bushing, what brand is the shifter? You will probably have to go to the manufacture for parts.

I asume that is a Steeda shifter. That boot is part of the whole assembly. You would have to get in touch with Steeda to try and get a new one, they might just give you one. I don't know how easy or hard it would be to replace it.

I thought it might be but it's been so long since I put mine in that I don't remember exactly what it looks like.

ya the inner bushing, steeda should be able to get you a new one and hopefully instructions on replacing it. Or buy a mgw and solve the problem.

I doubt it. Normally, they will cover the part, but NOT extra labor you require to remove/replace the part. That's just how this stuff usually works.

If it's not covered, I would DEFINITELY looking into the MGW shifter. That thing is SO much better than the Tri-Ax (I know. I had the Tri-Ax installed in my car for over 18 months).

If you don't want to go that route, I have an 18 month old Tri-Ax that I have been planning on putting up on EBay that I could probably cut you a good price on.
