OFF ROAD H PIPE AND STOCK MUFFLERS
I've got an '06 G.T. with a C&L Racer CAI, a Diablo/C&L Predator with the Racer Kit canned tune, an automatic trans with a 2800 stall P.T.C. convertor and not much else performance wise. Car runs great and had Flowmaster two chambers welded in at one point, but EVERYBODY runs flows around here, so I've put the stockers back on for the time being and am considering an off road h pipe with the stock mufflers. Will I need to retune or just go into the Predator and adjust to turn off the o2 sensors? Anybody else run a similar combination, and if so, do you like it pretty well?

Anyhow, you can either go into the Predator and turn off the rear 02 sensors, by selecting Parameter Options. Or if you have custom mail order tunes, you can also contact your dealer who will then e-mail you a revised tuning file, with the 02 sensors automatically turned off.

I run the setup and love it as many others do. Like said, you just have to turn off the rear 02's with an o/r pipe. No other tuning required.
I painted my stock mufflers black and have some 4" tips that I need to weld on one of these days.
It's great at car shows when people ask if they are GTA's, flows or ect. Nope, just stock...lol.

I ran the pypes offroad H w/ JBA's and hated it, so did everyone else that heard it, very raspy, loud, unrefined. Sounded like a garbage truck with straight exhaust. Haven't heard the off H with the stockers though.
Bamachips Doug checked mine on the dyno, since it was one of the first '05s with an offroad H. No retune necessary, gained 6rwhp, he turned off the rear O2s.

Thanks for the replies and good info. I've heard a few clips on YouTube, and I've about decided to go this route, but it's hard to judge from sound clips. I think it's worth a try, however. Is Pypes the only company to make an off road h pipe? Everybody seems to want an x pipe, but that is out of the question for me. Way too raspy, even with cats and quiet mufflers.

MRT also has an off road H-pipe, but it's not cheap. It's listed at $399.99. At any rate, I've posted a link for their website for you.
