I have just bought a new 2006 GT and at some point will be making a few modifications like air-intake, exhaust, springs, struts and shocks. Simple stuff. My question is simply, will any of this void the Ford warranty? The reason I ask is I previously owned a used 95 GT and made a few mods after the warranty expired. It may be a stupid question, but one I need to ask. Thanks.

Welcome......

Alot of folks will tell you it depends on the dealer.

Welcome to the site and congrats on your recent purchase... I wouldn't worry too much about the mods unless you are doing something incredibly drastic... As soon as my baby rolled into my garage, the mods started going on .... The only problem is, I can't seem to stop and I only have about 1800 miles her! But like Torrence said above it will probably depend on your dealership... For the most part, however, they would have to prove your mod caused the problem (IMO)...

Welcome, I am new here as well. Looks like a great place to get info on our new stang. Pretty nice bunch so far, been doing some research on mufflers, programmers, intakes and stereo upgrades.

Thanks for link to that article. I think the stuff I plan to do is pretty darn safe. It's not like nobody changes out their tires and lowers the stance a bit. And stereo stuff........the shaker 500, although not horrific in sound, leaves much to be desired. Thanks again for everybody's input!

Welcome!!

As far as mods go the guys over at STEEDA are the number 1 aftermarket supplier to ford so I would assume that most of there stuff is safe not to void your warrantee. Also if you look in the New Motorsport Book from Ford a lot of their stuff is manufactured by STEEDA. Just a thought
