Great choice! The Airaid race really does look great under the hood, I love the blue filter. I'm glad to hear this kit really woke your Mustang up, what's your favorite part about the Bama tune so far?

Let me know if you have any questions or ever need some assistance!

Good stuff! I have the same cai and I love it. I suggest checking out the hybrid tune. Combination of race and street tune.

Zak ! Really like your Airaid CAI and I am considering upgrading my Steeda CAI in favor of the Airaid.. What I really like about the Airaid is the construction of it's intake tube seems to be far superior over the Steeda inlet elbow in over all quality and also doesn't require re-using the factory vaccum reducing tube, as Airaid includes the reducing tube in their kits.. However I do have just one concern though.. Can you tell me if the Airaid inlet tube makes any contact with the upper radiator hose at all ? Thanks, Rocky

Hey Brandon ! Im looking into upgrading my Steeda CAI in favor of the Airaid race CAI, but I do have one concern.. Do you happen to know if the Airaid inlet tube makes any contact with the upper radiator hose at all ?

Confirmed. The airaid CAI, does NOT touch the radiator hose. The closest it comes to it is about 1/2 an inch. So you're good.

Thank you once again Brandon ! I do hope that I'm good to go because I just realized that your GT is a 2008 where mine is a 2005 and if I recall correctly, Ford changed the location of the upper radiator hose in 2007.. Hopefully Zak's Mustang is either a 2005 or 06 model.. In the meantime, I'll be asking him

Thanks for replying back Zak ! I do have one additional question for you though.. By any chance is your Mustang either a 2005 or 06 model ? The reason I am asking is because Ford re-routed the location of the upper radiator hose in 2007 and I just realized that Brandon's Mustang is a 2008 model where mine is a 2005.. So I just need to make sure that before purchasing the Airaid CAI for my Stang, that it does NOT touch my upper radiator hose.. In the meantime thanks once again Zak

I won't be home until tomorrow, but my dad has an 06 GT. I can look at the location of his radiator hose and compare it to mine. I should be able to visualize it and make a good estimate as to whether they would make contact or not.

Hey Brandon ! Just got a reply back from Zak, and he confims his Mustang is an 06.. So there definitely should not be any issues with the Airaid making contact with my upper radiator hose.. At any rate, I'll be looking to sell my current Steeda CAI and will most definitely be upgrading to the Airaid race intake

Hey Zak ! You just put a huge smile on my face and I can't thank you and Brandon enough for all your help and feedback.. Now that I know your Mustang is an 06, it's great to know there won't be any issues concerning the Airaid CAI making any contact with the upper radiator hose.. In the meantime, I'll be looking to sell my current Steeda CAI and will most definitely be upgrading the Airaid race intake.. Anyway just want to say thanks once again

I also have an 05 GT and just checked...the pipe does not touch the radiator hose. There is clearly a gap between the two of a half inch to an inch. I believe you can adjust this to make even more of a gap if need be.

Jerry ! Thanks for checking your Airaid pipe for me, and a half inch gap between the radiator hose and inlet pipe should be sufficient enough.. Now that it's confirmed there is no contact between them, that's what matters most.. Anyway I'll be looking to upgrade to the Airaid CAI after finding someone to purchase my current Steeda CAI.. Hopefully I shouldn't have much trouble in selling it

Mine is about 1/8 of a inch to a half inch at most! But it does not touch. I didn't even think about that when I bought it lol

IIRC The Airaid tube is the only CAI that doesn't make contact with the upper radiator hose and although only the silicone coupler on my Steeda inlet elbow makes any contact.. I still don't like anything resting on top of the radiator hose.
