I was getting ready to cut my stock rear springs 3/4 of a coil to bring it down 1/2 inch, so i wanted to get a starting point so I could measure the aftercut effect. The air in my tires are at 32 psi and I measured on three different sufaces in my drive way and in my garage...my right side of the car is 3/4 of an inch higher than the left. I measure the lip to the ground, i measure the lip to the tire, also rocker to the ground. Well i aborted the mission until i learn what is wrong. Any have any ideas???
Please dont say cut 1 side...... scary, i was thinking about it for a second but I dont dare!

You must have installed that Hurst shifter wrong!

BTW, try to spread out the body in your trunk so that the weight is evenly distributed to both wheels
Seriously, is your driveway sloped to one side? Even a slight slope will change the distance by quite a bit. Try it at a gas station maybe ??

3/4" seems like a little much but if it helps, mine is 1/4" higher on the passenger side, but only in the back.

Well my problem is solved, I cant believe a slight grade would make that big a difference, it was even different in my garage . I measured it on the concrete pads at the gas stations on my way to work today, only about 1/16' difference, wow, that is more like it.
thanks everyone! Now, how do I close this thread???

You can really never go by line of sight when figuring out if one side is higher than the other unless you are on a surface that has no difference in grade. If there is just start drinking heavily and eventually it should all look the same
