Multiple tunes for sct etc
my dad has been fooling around with the fact of buying a programmer for his 6.0 turbo diesel ford 250. Now the question is will i be able to buy one unit to program my 05gt as well as my dads truck???? he would buy it if thats the caseB)
each vehicle will need its own programmer, two vehicles = two programmers
If you have two 05 Mustang GT's you will still need two programmers.
The programmer is designed specifically for the vehicle, and will only program once, and then the uploaded program will have to be sent back to the programmer and your car back to stock, before it will program another "like" car.

Its going to be totally up to your dealer.. but the answer is probably going to be about 90% yes itll void it.

darn man, how can all of you guys be running the tunes then, i would be worried alot about them voidin my warrentte, i mean it is a first year car, you never know whats goin to go wrong, esp if they are going to blame it on your tune :notnice:
oh well, they're mustangs....they don't break, unless you abuse them.
This isn't considering abusing them, just getting the power that you paid for when you bought your car. Don't you want to be able to run w/ the 400hp GTO's?
You can't be afraid of breaking it, or it will never be fast. Just make wise decisions, you see everyone else doing it, and there hasn't been any problems yet...which indicates to me, there probably won't be many down the line either.
My 92 has over 150,000 miles on it, stock-non-rebuilt transmission, stock bottom end...and has had over 50 bottles sprayed though it. Never had a problem other than replaced a clutch and an alternator...and still runs 10's in the 1/4 mile.

Look at it this way...I didn't load my tune thinking about utilizing my warranty or voiding the warranty. I'm also not the kind that would have my car towed from the freakin track to the dealership for warranty work.

If you can't afford to pay to fix it, don't mod it. If I were you, I would be happy with having a stock Mustang GT at 22. Doesn't get too much better than that, bro. Wait a few years when your warranty is up and put away $50 or so a month until then and then get yourself some mods.

I couldn't agree more. It would be irresponsible to mod outside your means for repairs. You're a better man for recognizing what you have. You're one step further in life with decisions like these!
Well the SCT tuner WON'T void your warranty persay. If you blew your engine, the dealer could say they aren't liable because of the tuner. On the flipside, the dealer can't say they aren't going to fix your broken suspension because you have an aftermarket tune. I think the Magnusson Act should be a sticky because a lot of people keep asking warranty questions.
