I had the GMS and I bought a tune from Brenspeed. When I tested it on the DYNO it was running very lean and I had it custom tuned at that time using the SCT tuner. That is why I would always suggest that a dyno be done after the CAI\Tune is installed. All cars run differently.

No way bashing Brenspeed either. LOL....but I did have to pay extra for the custom tune and also paid Brenspeed for his. OH well, live and learn.

I went with the C&L racer and tune from Bamachips. OmiGawd! It really opened the car up. The way I saw it, if a CAI doesn't need a tune, it isn't really doing anything. From what I understand these computers in these cars are extremely sensitive and will have problems with CAI's. I have seen posts on this forum from guys that bought a "no tune" CAI, and then bought another one with a tune. Seems like a waste of money, but hey, I'm just some crazy honkey, what do I know.

Cai

One more Question I haven't made my mind up on witch CAI to buy yet But if I install one and hold off on a tune for now would I have to worry about damaging the motor by running it to lean. I see some kits claim to give increased performance with out tune.So is it going to make much different with one of these kit some say horse power gains and quicker throttle responds and throater sound just by bolting on....whats everyones opinions. Thanks Steve

Excellent suggestions. I was about to say that.

BUT it's a bit more pricey. No?
