Missed shifts...damage done?

So the other night I was out showing some "import" car owners what a real car feels like. It was the middle of the night and I was shifting around 6000 rpms and I timed my 1-2 shift wrong. I popped the clutch out and then tried pulling into 2nd. I could definitely feel the gears mashing.
Everything still feels great with the shifts but did I possibly do some damage to the synchros or anything?
I'm worried I hurt my baby, or maybe I'm worrying too much. Thanks.

Everybody who ever drove my 02 GT managed to mangle the 2-3 shift, never really hurt the gearbox, I've missed a coupla shifts in my 07, seem to be no problems there either.

It's a little more embarassing when it's the 1-2 shift.

I've got an 88' GT with a 347 stroker and the 2-3 shift is brutal and that's with a Pro 5.0.

ouch !!, well you may be ok, no way to really tell short of pulling the clutch. but i don't think one or two mistakes will break it...although, continued abuse will show in the long run. can't blame you on teaching a few lessons, but don't hurt the stang. becareful.

Nah, I can't imagine. I've missed a couple of 2-3 shifts on mine and no issues, and I missed way more than my share of them on my 90 GT, never a problem. These cars can handle a little abuse!

In all my years or racing I have never, ever hurt or blew up a transmission. If I missed a shift I had lost the race so why tear up a gearbox in the process.

I have done that a few times autocrossing. No problems...yet. From what I have heard these manuals are pretty strong, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.
