Just search the forum for "MGW shifter" , you'll find numerous posts , some with pictures. By the way , I've had mine since they first came out and it's by far the best shifter I've ever had on a car ...

I've had my MGW on my 06' since about March, and it's the best I've ever used. This is my first car with a manual, but I've driven numerous others, Mustangs, Camaros, even ricers...stock, short throws, etc.
Here are some pictures of mine...the first pictures are shifting, 1-2-3-4-5-R, then a view of the height of the shifter, and one of the shifter boot up.
The only thing that stinks is that if you want to change the shifter throw, you have to jack up the car, get underneath, remove the shift linkage bolt, and turn the shifter block. I have mine set the recommended setting (I think it's six turns, but can't remember exactly).

also, give us a call as your pics show the rod under the ball...we have a deluxe machined stainless jam nut that covers the shaft that will clean up that shifter look!!
