And what do we refill the coolant back with? Just the coolant from the catch bucket(clean)? Im getting ready to buy this kit from brenspeed and Im a little nervous I might screw up. Seems like such an important piece .

I used a mini fuse add-a-line to get the switched power, but I had to put it in the fuse box inside the car since there's no place for it on the fuse box in the engine compartment. If somebody made that work I'd like to know how. Then I ran a wire through the firewall.
The bottom bolt is a joke to put in. I have NBA star sized banana hands and I just reached under the pump and stuck the bolt in with my hands and tightened it with a hex L key. Was the easiest part of the install.
On the gasket you can get special O-ring lube, don't use vaseline, it degrades rubber materials. I just wet the thing with coolant and inserted it gently. Push it in place by hand then screw it in in a star pattern to slowly and evenly push it in.
I bought a Goodyear 99.5" belt to use with my Steeda UDP and it was too long, I had to get a 99" one. If somebody wants to buy my Goodyear 99.5" belt let me know.
I had a lot of issues with my water pump, after 2 pump failures/overheated engines I finally got it worked out. You can read about how I fixed them here

I did a step by step install thread on this a while ago, but since the forum crashed twice I refuse to do anymore on this board, I do all mine on Modular Fords now. Besides all the good technical people here are gone now and went there.

Wow, so using the relay included in the wiring kit is not advised because it's not water proof?
I'm gunna have to really think about how I want to wire this.
Seems like waterproof relays are not expensive - less than $15.

Found a page with Hella and Omron waterproof relays:

What sort of wires should I use?

I looked for it couldnt find one. I found it at autozone though. It takes place of a existing fuse and on the top has a place for two fuses. One for the original accessorie and one for the add on.

If I understand correctly, that add-a-fuse plugs straight into the socket marked #13.
I've circled the socket that looks like the correct one. Correct me if I'm totally wrong
Looking at thd picture of that add-a-fuse posted above, it appears that you plug wires into it? The blue part of the thing. Is there some special plug or do just solder wires to it?
And how do you get the wires out of the fuse box ? Drill a hole in the box?
One other thing, the add-a-fuse thing has 2 "male" prongs and so does that socket I have circled - so it's obviously not going to fit. That would be a homosexual connection and that's not going to work. I must be missing something basic.
