Max NA Horsepower

Who's got the most horsepower out of their NA engine and how? I'm looking to gather some information on mods that I could do but I want to know how much can be done before having to go FI.

Have you drag raced a GT500, C5 Z06, or a C6 vette??? You ought to be faster assuming you didn't add more weight to the car.

Hah yes I raced a GT500 down the interstate one day, and I was impressed with my car to say the least and his face was priceless.

And yes i'm running an 4.6 stroker kit

If I may ask, did the cost of staying N/A come out to be less than gettin a blower?

That's a yes and no. I love it, reason 1 for yes. Reason 2 is the fact that when I do go with a f/i I have the strongest internals you can really get, my kits rated to well over 1000hp and I won't be there for a long time if ever. It really depends on what you are wanting to do though, I had a good opportunity and like to do things a little different than most, and i'll be honest its awesome running with cars that don't expect it. Even if you pop my hood the only hint is the CAI TB and my LT's if you know what your looking at. Really I don't see any disadvantages unless what your looking to do just doesn't require it, but why throw a s/c on and wait for something to break and risk your block like that? I just think you should build it right the first time and you won't regret it

Exactly!! I like the idea of spending money to build it up right the first time, and not have to worry about it when I throw a blower on.

And I'll tell you it's so much fun rolling up on people wiith s/c's that can't drive and just romping on em. Right now it's not the fastest thing on the street no doubt, but man it's so much fun, and the sound out of this thing in my opinion is just insanely awesome. And everything that i've done to this point will only benefit me when/if I break down and blow it.

Please post videos of your Stang when possible... What kind of gas do you use and what's your fuel economy?

Get some up this weekend i'm going to make some new ones. Before I got 18-19 city 24-25 highway, now i get 16-17 and 23-24 on premium, no octane booster or anything like that. You can run it on regular but I prefer premium has less contaminants in it and so mines tuned for premium. It's definitely worth it if your looking at fuel economy/hp gains

I couldn't tell you individually, the stroker and the overbore have a lot do with that. And I don't think anyone could give you exact gains on a custom cam, but I can't verify that. I have also not mentioned i'm running a polish on my stroker that is a friction reducer and has proved in a few tests we've done to gain 15-20 in different applications, so it's largely untested when it comes to a rotating assembly (test car, first we've put in a car), and yes the #'s are very high my shop had never built a stroker over 360 n/a I can definitely understand skepticism

Stroker Kit...

Robert, your setup is EXACTLY what I want, and why I am NOT doing a F/I setup. Just want the sound of a built bottom-end motor with my longtubes!!!! I gotta ask, and if you don't mind telling (you can PM if you want to), how much does a setup like what you have run, on approximates (cams, heads, stroker, and tune)?

Thumbs up What displacement is your engine now?

So is this an over the counter complete stroker kit, or something you had to put together?
Do you have a list of all the parts/suppliers you have used and would you post it here on the forum?

Most of all, what displacement is your engine now?
