Which makes more sense?
Which makes more sense? Greasable bushings or maintainance free bushings? I ask because I have to go under the car to replace a cracking UCA bushing on Saturday. The current UCA has a zerk fitting for applying grease. After a while, I wondered if switching to a maintainance free UCA from either MRT or CHE would be a better option for me. Is there a difference in performance between the greasable and maintainance free bushings? I like the idea of not having to re-grease the bushing every so often but not if it means lower performance.

I can't say much about the maitenance free bushings. My BMR adjustable UCA has the poly bushing with the grease fitting. A good quality chassis has made for a smooth and quite operation.
You will probably be OK with the maintenance free bushing, I just haven't ever used one. You defenately don't want a spherical bearing because of the noise they make.

Thanks for the quick reply Bobby. I too have the BMR UCA (adjustable). The bushing inside the thing is cracking, BMR sent out replacements but they might be the wrong ones, will confirm tomorrow. I have an appointment with the guys at MRT on Saturday. If these are indeed the wrong bushings I might have to go with their maintainance free upper, leaving the BMR mount in the car for added rigidity.
