Did they leak?

JBA LT's here (Silver Ceramic Coated), 10,000 miles and no issues. I love them.

If you're asking about my Dynatechs, no... they did not leak. But a Dynatech hi-flow cat failed and cost me my motor. Pretty expensive failure I must say. I could have lived with a simple leak.

It's an old story. Read these three posts for the highlights:

If I were in the market for LTs right now, I would be looking very hard at Kooks or Stainless Works.
How is it that they awesome but don't reccomend them?

Did you read the links in post #25? If you do, ask yourself if you would recommend that anyone send money to that company.

Wow... man, that sucks. As soon as I started to read the post I thought of the cat getting plugged and causing detonation in the bank that the cat was on by way of raising cylinder pressures and causing it to go. By Adam's allowing the engine to retard the timing it allowed the engine to live a bit longer but this was bound to happen. And no, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I didn't follow too far down the thread but, I assume Dynatech told you it's your problem. Did they even give a d#m?

Yea, I got a typical corporate reply from Dynatech blaming everything but their product. All they sent me was replacement cats and "offroad" tuning legs. It was the way they handled the aftermath which now makes me preach this:

DON'T BUY DYNATECHS!!!

JBA Longtubes with thier catted H-pipe. I'm happy with them. But be forwarned...if you're picky about your car having rattles and stuff, you might want to re-think longtubes.

You'll be pushing a lot of exhaust in a different place. The collectors dump out at the floorboards right under your feet. The steering rod snakes it's way through the tubes, clearing them, but close enough for you to feel it. For clearance sake and weight savings, I installed the BMR K-Member which gave me solid motor mounts, hense more vibration.

Yeah, it sounds great at idle, almost like it's got a mild cam. But rattles and vibrations are part of the tradeoff. Right now, my most pesky one happens at the rear when the car is cold. Once it warms up a bit it goes away, but it's embarrassing when it's going on, becasue it's louder than the exhaust itself. More mid-pipe and muffler fiddling in my future for sure.

I do have the "softer" BMR LCA's and the 4.10's, so I'm almost to the "rattle package".

Now it feels retro too

No rattles here with the longtubes. Exhaust is louder no matter what muffler you run. I am not running cats.
