Lowering
Lowering
For those who've lowered their Mustangs, I'm considering it but would like to hear the do's and don'ts. What springs did you use, etc., and what's a resonable price to have it done? I have a 2006 Torch Red GT. Thanks.
agreed Clark!!! I did mine in steps. Springs first then shocks and struts then bump steer kit then panhard rod then lower relocate brackets then the adj uca. I did all the work myself. Its not to hard and takes basic tools except for a spring compressor. It was a free rental from autozone. Where are you located Harley?
Instead of reinventing the wheel, take a look at this thread as it discuss everything possible when lowering an S197

I also went with FRPP springs. But I used saleen watts link and trashed the pan hard bar. Your rear end will never stay on enter with a pan hard bar beause of weight changes in the car( number of people, gas, ect) The car handles better on wash board roads. No more of that funny hopping around.

My rear end doesnt hop around.

I have the maximum motorsports PHR, and while the rod ends are noisy, its an aweosme peice.
