Lowering?
I'm thinking about lowering my GT instead of doing CAI and a tune... I have recently noticed i get a good bit of wheel hop. I think i would like to combat that problem before adding more power. I dont know much about suspension except that changing one part affects the entire set up. I was hoping to to spend too much money but still improve my handleing. I plan to autoX more than take it to a drag strip. its also a daily driver so i dont want to extream. I was hoping i could get some advice on what parts i should change to get the most for my money. I would apprecate if you suggested brands as well as what parts.
thanks

if you lower it you will need lower control arm relocation brakets. Some have said that just the brakets have cured there wheelhop while others have had to replace the upper and lower control arms along with the braket to cure the problem.
If you plan to autox coil-overs is the best. You will also need to replace the sway bars and mounts. I went with tokico dspecs, eibach prokit springs and eibach swaybars front and back. And I just ordered a BMR Panhard bar, panhardbrace, and the relocation brakets. Also for autox the stock brakes wont cut it. You will definetly need to upgrade. I plan to eventually go to steeda kit front and back if i can ever afford it.
It gets expensive fast. But thankfully all of these suspension are easy to do one at a time when you have the money. I definetly recommend doing the springs and struts together. Plus get the camber adjuster bolts. Lowering the mustang will put it out of alignment and without the bolts no place will be able to get it aligned right.

for the relocation brackets, did you go with the BMR? what other brands make this part... now looking at these prices something tells me i still have a good bit to save up for before i can start on these mods...
but it is better to wait and spend it on something that works than spend it on something that doesnt work well only to have to spend it on the more expensive part afet

or go with a Watts link. there is a group buy on modularfords for $260. removes the need for a ranhard bar and relocation brackets. it keeps the rearend centered throughout all conditions without having to adjust anything.

I used the Eibach Sportlines, Spec-Z camber bolts and FFRP struts and dampers. Next on the list are the LCA's and a Watts link instead of panhard bar. THat should put the geometry where it needs to be.

I know this has been discussed before but I still am not sure if I should put money into camber plates and a panhard bar considering I put Steeda springs on my GT? What do you guys think?
