First time out to a track and first time racing...ever. Elevation at 1220' and temp was around 77*. Reaction times weren't great but did have a .555 and .567, not bad for first time. Best ET was 13.6 @ 103.6 which was a hell of a lot better than I expected after hearing how crappy the track is there (black tarmac/flight line taxiway). My average times (15 runs) was about 13.6. Definitely need slicks as I'm burning through 1st and half of second. Best 60' was 2.17. All in all not a bad day.

That's one ricey Mustang in your sig... Only 245 to the wheels wih CAI, tune, and nitrous? Reminds me of a Honda I once knew.

No offense... Wouldn't agrue with 310whp though.

HP sells cars, TQ wins races, and he had roughly 450 to the wheels. 13.1 is faster than a lot of gt's with bolt ons.

I wanted another run so bad, but a 68 Camaro twin turbo that just ran a 7.73 @186 burned up at the end of the track.

I'm the car on the left bone stone stock with less than 1000 miles on the odometer. Our track is at 2200 ft above sea level. Corrected to sea level it's a 14.069 at 100.05 mph. I powershift into second but granny shift 3rd and run through the lights in 3rd. Once I install my Hurst shifter I should be able to shave off 1-2 tenths.

had what was probably my best run of this year at the NMRA race 2weeks ago. weather= hot humid corrected altitude 2000ft+ 90degrees 60%+ humidity and ran 12.72@106.5 N/A with my auto. if i had the same weather as when i ran 12.60's in march i should have gone somewhere between 12.35 and 12.45 at 108-109mph.....i can't wait til fall!!!!

First time at the track

Spinning? The car never got moving until 3rd gear!!! Mostly it was my nerves, but the starting lines a Milan isn't that sticky either. Matting the gas didn't help much either!! Only got one run in, was extremely hot and humid, and didn't want to wait for the next test and tune shots, so I'll be better next time, now that I've gotten the first one done, and maybe the car will have more in it when its broken in more!!!

u werent spinning the tires?

the lag on the autos must be worse than i thought then, 2.5 60ft is pretty high up there. Just gettin that down to like 2.1 or 2.2 will drop your time by half a second.

and yes breaking it in will help. With 471 miles on my car, in winter i ran a best of 16.1. In the summer with 7000 miles on it i ran a 15.26. Both 100% stock, exact tires, etc.

I don't think it's auto lag... my first trip to the track last summer netted consistent 2.1 60' times on street tires and stock 3.31s.

Yes, it was spinning the tires, might be a little lag too, in the throttle. Next time, I'm gonna hold it at 1500 rpm, then leave at half-throttle until I'm past 60ft. I'm gonna need to get a helmet, Milan still uses the 13.99 rule, and I don't want to get thrown out for not having a helmet!!! (Being VERY optimistic, here!!)
